What does godmother mean?

By buying a bird nest, you support nature's pollination. A webinar will be organized for the owners of the hive, where they will talk about bees, pollination and the benefits of bees. In summer, it is possible to participate in 1-2 nest visits for an additional fee.

What a foster home buyer gets:

The owner of the hive is sent a jar of early summer honey and a jar of late summer honey, a piece of honeycomb honey and one extra honey in addition. In addition, the owner receives a 30 g bag of pollen and honey lip balm. After the order, the customer will receive a video presentation about beehives, during the summer at least 4 video materials and blog posts about beehives will be sent to the customer. The buyer of Kummipäsä receives a product package and information about bees. With the proceeds from god nests, we increase the number of nests and pollination in several areas around Finland.

The benefits of pollination

So what is the benefit of pollination? As a good example, everyone has surely seen a blighted and slightly deformed strawberry. It tells you that strawberry has not been pollinated. Berries, fruit trees, broad beans, canola and many other crop plants need pollination, and when well pollinated, the yield can increase by several tens of percent, depending on the plant. Good pollination means that we get more crops from a smaller area. Natural berries also need pollination.

Honey At the moment, the welfare of the bees is the most important criterion. When our bees are well, they pollinate and produce honey. At Hunaja Hetke, we take care of the bees ourselves from start to finish. We are professional gardeners and beekeeping is our main job. Thanks to our main job, we are able to take care of the bees at the best time, despite the weather changes, and monitor the well-being of the bees in time. The summer in Finland is very fast and the conditions change quickly, so it is very important to be able to visit the nurseries in time.
